Mandala News Network Channel is more than Absurd; more than The (New) Okar Effect. This is from the Art Depart. Once upon a time SpitBall went to the Walker to see the traveling exhibit eulogized in this amalgam of image, word and ACID tracks. The "Beats" were a "big" deal in the confines of the Spoken Word Community in which he was once immersed and one fine day Mark Colby came to town on the heels of Whitney's rendition of Beats. While I looked at their old chapbooks under the glass, I had 3-5 in my bag - the bag in which the works of my compatriots were secured; comforted with feathers and the many odd icons of a novice enchanter; an unconscious shaman, stumbled at an edge of that stage. First I imagined that I was a thief like a Robinhood of the Arts - secretly switching those Beats for our own. Not much difference other than time and its fermentative whiles. Then I sat on the floor and wrote "Whitney's New American Daisy Chain" on the the back page of the exhibit book. Unlike most of my poems (for lack of a better word) this one survived virtually unedited. |

New Fishing Product! These fishing teasers really work. The ballyhoo fish have a highly reflective mirror finish that reflects sunlight as they glide through the water. These teasers are flat, but as you can see in the video, once they are pulled through the water they tilt slightly and independently from each in a rocking motion while sending reflections of light in all directions and the illusion of a school of live ballyhoo. The reflections attract the game fish up from the depths and distances to your real bait. I use this every time I fish and i have had great sucess with it. One of my favorite things about the daisy chain teaser is the holder that comes with it. It makes it extremely easy to keep compact and under control when not in use. The dredge teasers can be stored flat in a 6"x36" bag. The teaser is very durable and an affordable asset for fishermen who want an advantage over the other guys out there. |

The Monotribe's new daisy chain sequencing mode allows you to make longer sequences across multiple units, but I only have one Monotribe, so this mode would probably be pretty useless for me, right? However, the way the daisy chained units communicate (receive pulse, play sequence, emit pulse) opens up the possibility of using the Monotribe to play a short "flourish" or secondary drum sequence to complement a track whenever it's needed. You can tweak the tempo however you need. Note that if the Monotribe receives additional pulses while playing its sequence it will play the sequence multiple times depending on how many pulses it receives. This is just a rough demonstration, certainly not an example to go by. Nevertheless I hope it is useful. Kudos to user darenager for his video on using the DS-10 as a pulse source. |
