Maritime women and men were among a record crowd celebrating a centenary of International Women's Day, with song and dance, politics and speeches in Sydney's Martin Place and other Australian cities. MUA men and women joined the march from the Sydney Town Hall through the streets under the banner Women Transporting the World. The call for the rally was equal pay, fair pay. Women should get the same pay as men, not just for the same work, but for women's work like caring for the elderly, the ill, the young, cleaning and factory work. A nurse has the as many qualifications as a tradesmen, said one speaker, but all the tradesmen I know own a house at 20 and nurses go without. It's not about the glass ceiling but the gender pay gap of a whopping 18 per cent - greater if the division is made along both gender and ethnic lines. Speakers representing the ethnic communities, spoke of how women laboured in factories on low pay in third world conditions. The Australian Council of Trade Unions is redoubling efforts to achieve true gender equality with a test case now before the commission. In the past year unions have campaigned and won paid and parental leave, carer's leave and family-friendly flexible working arrangements. But ACTU President Ged Kearney said a continuous effort and commitment was needed to achieve gender equity. On the 23rd November 2011 The Big Audition with Jamie Cullum drew to a close with 5 finalists each performing a 10 minute showcase to a crowded room at PizzaExpress in Kensington Olympia. With a judging panel comprising of Jamie Cullum, Sir Michael Parkinson, Heather Small, Clive Davis and Beth Rowley, the finalists really had to bring their A-game. A career launching prize included £5000 from Barclaycard Freedom and a three night residency at the famed PizzaExpress Jazz Club in Dean Street, Soho was on offer. The finalists included singer/songwriter Andy Lewis, jazzy blue-eyed soul trio from the US The Yesberger Band, South Londoners Offbeat South, 14 year old Elle Watson and teen jazz duo Palms13. More than 400 Sydney wharfies at the Patrick Terminal at Port Botany were today kitted out in new hot pink hard hats bearing the McGrath Foundation logo, proving once and for all that real men do wear pink. The teaming of the Maritime Union and Patrick Terminals to adopt the pink safety helmets came through workers wanting to show their support of the McGrath Foundation on the job site every day. Co-founder and Chairman of the Foundation, Glenn McGrath, on hand at the terminal, was thrilled to be able to help the Patrick dock workers show their support through the new hats. Jane would have loved to have seen the Patrick's wharfies stepping up to the docks in their McGrath Pink Hard Hats, to set such a good example for other Aussie blokes - that it takes a real man to wear pink - one of Jane's favourite sayings, McGrath said. As experienced at the Sydney Test in January, we couldn't be more proud to see Australian men wanting to take a stand to wear pink to promote breast awareness and show their support for the women in their life, as breast cancer is not just a women's issue, it affects families, he said. READ THIS AFTER WATCHING Song: Placebo Program: Sony Vegas 8.0 Short description: After that Dean has found out about his love Elles powers he does what he thinks is the right decision. A lill crazy Elle finds comfort in some new friends, Haley and jamie. But in the end of the day, who is more crazy? Elle, the girl with powers and who is not so keen on controlling them, or Dean, who gets obsessive in tracking down the one he thinks is a danger to the society and doesn't care who he has to stamp on to get what he want? __________________ Longer description: Dean and Elle are in love, but then Dean finds out about Elles powers and takes her as a demon. Dean and Sam goes after Elle, they catch her and tries to de-demonize her, but it doesn't work, Elle blows up the place and escapes. On her run away from the Winchesters she meet Haley and her son Jamie who takes her under their wings. But Dean and Sam soon gets up a trace on Elle and comes to Haleys house, where haley trows them out. Soon after Dean and Sam tries to reach out to Elle but it all ends up with Jamie falling into the water and drowns. A devastating Haley and Elle decides to run away but when Dean comes after them Haley takes the fall instead of Elle. As a last resort Elle goes to HRG for help but before they have done anything the Winchesters catches her. Without realizing how strong Elles power are and how to control them Dean talk face to face with Elle, this ends up with Elle killing him with her powers. |

Ok, so this vid wasen't planned at all. I was working on another vid that included Haley, Dean and Elle, then I heard this song and instatly knew I wanted to make a Elle-something vid with it and started to work on it. It soon became a friendship between Elle and Haley, and soon I added Dean and Claire to fill out some space. Later I added Jamie too, coz I thought that clip with Haley and Jamie in the car was so perfect and then the damage was done, lol. I didn't mean to make the vid that the turn it did, but well, whatever.
